I have a 9 year old daughter who is full of fun, and has boundless energy - which is great. I am passionate about education, and I enjoy working with my colleagues at The School of Education, The University of Leicester very much. I have had the chance to travel to Russia and work with wonderful colleagues in St Petersburg thanks to funding from the British Council and Herzen State Pedagogical University. I have also had the chance to visit the United States, and to work with colleagues from different countries. I am aiming to engage with International research with my colleagues. I find this work very exciting, and I am highly motivated and committed to evidence based practice. I love going to Knowle Parish Church in Knowle and I have met great friends there. I am also a member of the church choir. I also very much enjoy all kinds of music, dance, and sports and am a former fitness instructor. It is important to say 'former' because I am currently spending a lot of time in front of a computer writing rather than at the gym or having a run - which is something I need to address!! I am lucky because I live very close to some beautiful countryside, and some canals, and I enjoy walking there with my daughter. I have two very affectionate cats... and I think that's enough about me.
