Pt. I-- Childhood and Adolescence Born in Philadelphia, PA, the greatest city in the world, left at age 1 to grow up in the burbs near Reading, PA. Uninspired student, although it seems I learned something in school. Pt. II- College, Phase 1 Penn State Berks for two years. Great Professors and friends. Maybe a little too much friends. Decided to abandon it all for Temple U. Great friends, more maturity on my part. Pt. 3- The Business World Went to work for Meridian Bancorp. Turns out I was talented at what I did. I did not, however, find it congenial. Went back to part time, 3rd shift, grew my hair long and started school again. Pt. 4- College, Phase 2 Went back to school just in time for the faculty to strike, so 300 or so of us lived in the President's office for a month. Finished school, started grad school. Thought I would get it done soon, but... Pt. 5- Americorps I joined Americorp, the national community service initiative. Did community organizing around school issues. Loved it. Then I met... Pt. 6- Susan Met Susan, fell in love. Didn't know any lullabies, so I sang old union songs to put the little guy asleep. Finished grad school. Moved to MA and became a teacher. Pt. 7- Changes Apparently the marriage thing did not work out. Got a new job.... and since changes come in 3's, I wonder what's next. Kinda exciting isn't it?
